A couple of years back we thought we would acquire new engineered hard wood floors in the loft. Prior to this our floor was a bare concrete one, it wasn’t hideous per se but we got small kids and youngsters have a tendency to fall a whole lot, so for safety issues and because we did want the house to be more put together we thought we would try to find different flooring options. The furniture we got was very child friendly and neutral and also since it was a tiny loft the kitchen was connected along with the dinning/living room area. After a few months of going back and forth with different selections we chose to get engineered hard wood everywhere in the first floor. Because it was such a modest place we didn’t want to skimp on any of the visual space by splitting up the kitchen from the dinning/living with different flooring. And because we would eventually replace all the kid friendly furniture pieces with good quality pieces we went all out and get fancy flooring.
For anybody who is wondering about updating your floors within your house and you’re worried about complementing you interior décor to the new floors, you ought to bear in mind certain things. If you have small kids and you just haven’t bought your dream home furniture I would say choose the high end flooring since no matter what sort of floors you will get as long as you clean it properly and take care of them might last for many years. In case you are already set along with your dream interior decoration plan I will still advise getting the quality floors, because not only will they accentuate and play up your household furniture highlights but they will even increase your home’s price. With floors, just as with all kinds of other construction products, you absolutely do get what you pay for.
